Library Orientation

An overwhelming number of attendees joined this year's orientation on one of our subscribed e-resources - the IG-Library by Libtech Source Philippines Inc. The Library Department extends its heartfelt appreciation to all students and faculty for their active participation during the session.

Special thanks to our Deans, Program Chairs, and Faculty members for helping disseminate the information and for encouraging the students to attend.

Our sincere gratitude to Ms. Marichelle Marcial - Sales and Marketing Executive from Libtech Source Philippines, for her informative discussion and live walkthrough of the IG-Library platform.

Above all, our deepest thank you to the BC Administration,headed by the President Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, Executive Vice President Dr. Pedro T. Marcellana III, and the rest of the administration for their continued support of the library.

We hope that this initiative will encourage all students to maximize the use of our e-resources and enhance their learning experience.

Book Fair

The 11th Library Book Fair of Bicol College, held from October 7–11, 2025, was a meaningful event that brought together faculty and students in the pursuit of new learning materials and resources.

Trusted book dealers EESM Bookstore and BookQuick Marketing showcased a wide variety of academic and general titles, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for book selection and review. The opening day was marked by enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, setting a positive tone for the week-long fair.

Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the event promoted a love for reading and continuous learning. It also strengthened Bicol College’s partnerships with book suppliers and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic enrichment and lifelong education.

Accreditation

Bicol College is pleased to announce the successful conduct of the PACUCOA Accreditation Visit for its BEED, BSED, and BSTM programs. The BEED and BSED programs underwent evaluation for Level III, First Reaccreditation, while the BSTM program was evaluated for Level II, First Reaccreditation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the PACUCOA Accrediting Team, headed by Dr. Vanessa Paula Garcia, for their valuable time, guidance, and support throughout the accreditation visit. Special thanks are also given to Mr. Danzielo-Auristelo Lagustan, Accreditor for Area VI (Library) and Criterion VII, for his insightful recommendations and suggestions.

Our gratitude likewise goes to the BC Library Team and Prof. Lleno for their hard work, cooperation, and dedication in preparing for and facilitating the accreditation process.

This event reflects Bicol College’s continued commitment to providing quality education and pursuing academic excellence, as we await the official results of the accreditation.

PACUCOA Accreditation Visit for BEED, BSED, and BSTM Programs

RQAT

Bicol College warmly welcomed the CHED Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) on October 9–10, 2025 for the evaluation of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).

The visit covered the Re-Certification of the BS Criminology program and the Deputization of the BS Business Administration (New) program. The team was led by Dr. Karen I. Iniego, CHED Education Supervisor II, with members Dr. Arnold F. Abiog and Dr. Rina Abner-Puerta.

Bicol College expresses its gratitude to the CHED RQAT team for their time and guidance, and to the faculty and staff for their support and dedication throughout the evaluation process.
